RENEWABLE ENERGY has been in the headlines. this cartoon captured the essence. An article in The Australian and reproduced in brief form below shows the massive subsidies needed to keep renewables afloat. AND the cost to consumers, especially in South Australia.

Queensland has announced a very brave target of 50% renewable from the current approximately 4-5%. That is clearly a ridiculously unachievable goal. Note the PRICE COST TO CONSUMER pointed out in the Australian and re-iterated in brief form here ~ 

I’m all for helping the planet, but not at the cost of lives, as almost happened when hospitals lost power. Good planning and a sensible approach is needed, not Political ideology.renewable-energy-electricity-jpg
