Exit 93 being closed in the future is clearly not something locals want. The E-Petition
is now into the mid-2,000 level. An update in Parliament saw Jann Stuckey MP make the point that whilst Division 13 candidate, (apparently Labor-aligned “Independent” Katrina Beikoff supplied a “ministerial statement” which did not appear on Hansard), tried to say there is no plan to close it, the CURRENT Minister has no plans or funds to do anything. However it is still in the Labor 2008 PLAN for the closure. There is no doubt that it will be CLOSED unless enough attention and protest is brought to bear.
As I am semi-retired and rarely use Exit 93, I care not a jot what happens to it. But a lot of local school pupils and parents, as well as the public swimming pool and The Pines shopping Centre, would find a total blockage at Exit 92 Palm Beach Avenue every peak hour and public holiday.
